Sprout Street Diner
★★★★☆ 4.1
Sprout Street Diner scratches the itch for something warm and unhurried. You inherit a run-down diner and slowly rebuild it — unlocking recipes, decorating tables, and getting to know a rotation of regulars who each have their own tastes. There's no timer breathing down your neck, which is exactly what I wanted.
The cooking loop is simple: prep ingredients, plate dishes, and match orders. It gets busier as your reputation grows, but it never tips into stressful. I found myself opening it just to redecorate and check in on my customers.
It's light on challenge, so if you want a test of skill this isn't it. But as a comfort game to play a chapter of before bed, it's charming and gently rewarding, and it never pestered me to rush.
What we liked
- Relaxed, timer-free cooking loop
