About

Ravenpin Play started as a group chat where a handful of us kept swapping screenshots of weird little mobile games nobody was talking about. Half of them were forgettable, but every now and then something clicked and we'd play it for weeks. Eventually we figured we should write it all down somewhere instead of losing it in a feed.,The editorial idea is simple. We play the game ourselves, on real phones, for long enough to form an honest opinion. No skimming a trailer and calling it a review. If a game bores us after ten minutes, we say so; if it grabs us, we try to explain exactly why.,We cover everything, not just puzzles. RPGs, racing, strategy, cozy simulators, card games, quick arcades. The only rule is that a game has to be interesting on its own terms, and it has to run well on a phone without asking for the world.,Nobody pays us to like anything. We pick titles because they caught our attention, and our ratings reflect how we actually felt after playing, not how anyone hoped we'd feel.
