Iron Tide Command
Iron Tide Command is a strategy game that makes you think in layers. You manage resources, build up a coastal base, and defend against waves that get smarter the longer you survive. It's not a frantic tapping affair — you can pause, plan routes, and reposition units at your own pace, which suits a touchscreen perfectly.
The economy is where it hooks you. Every choice trades off against another: pour resources into defense now, or gamble on expansion for a bigger payoff later. I lost my first two campaigns badly and enjoyed every second of figuring out why.
It's a touch demanding on a small screen during big battles, but the pinch-to-zoom controls are responsive enough that I never felt lost. If you want something meaty to chew on rather than a quick distraction, this delivers.
